Claudia Abban MSW, RSW

Registered Social Worker

Hi, I’m Claudia. Navigating the complexities of parenthood, trauma, and mental health can often feel overwhelming and isolating. My passion lies in supporting individuals and families on their journey toward healing from past experiences and embracing a fulfilling, connected life. Drawing from my background as both a therapist and a mom, I integrate clinical expertise with the empathy and understanding that comes from lived experience.

Why Work With Me?

I use a trauma-informed, client-centred approach tailored to your unique journey. Parenthood, with its joys and challenges, often brings up a range of emotions, from gratitude to vulnerability. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where we can work through these experiences together. We’ll collaboratively explore your past, present, and goals, empowering you to make meaningful changes and find strength in yourself and your role as a parent.

My Approach

In therapy, I emphasize helping you understand how past experiences shape current thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Together, we’ll uncover patterns that may be holding you back, helping you take charge of your emotional responses and foster confidence as you face life’s challenges. By examining these protective behaviours and coping mechanisms, you’ll gain clarity, self-compassion, and the tools to transform your relationships and show up authentically for yourself, your children, and those around you.
